It's all over for Paris and Doug
|
Shocking news from Los Angeles! After six months, high-profile Hollywood lovebirds Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt came to the end of the road after a bit of a barney on Tuesday night.
It seems the hotel heiress and self-professed Princess-Diana-for-the-21st-century started spitting feathers when she reportedly found Doug giving another lady the glad-eye at the Darkroom nightclub.
The row escalated, and the Chihuahua-bothering celebutante ran out of the club. She was eventually photographed slumped on the floor, in a tactic favoured by over-tired three-year-olds the world over, and had to be comforted by a friend.
The following day, Paris’s people spelled out the grim news in a solemn statement: “In response to the enquiry on whether Paris Hilton has split up with Doug Reinhardt, yes, this is true – they are no longer together. They remain friends and ask that you please respect their privacy.”
However, it sounds like Paris is being particularly keen to protect her privacy. Security staff were called in yesterday when “desperate-looking” Doug turned up at her exclusive gated community and refused to leave when he was denied entry.
Paris started her thing with Doug, who rose to fame on MTV’s inexplicably popular ‘reality’ show The Hills, earlier this year. And while Paris always seemed happy enough with him, calling him her “future husband” and “best friend”, some of Team Hilton had their doubts.
In fact, one of her friends has told a gossip site that Paris couldn’t be happier about the split, because she’s finally seen through him. “Doug is a douche, just like everyone tried to tell her,” the Hilton insider spat, “and he was only dating her for publicity.”
I’m guessing that Paris will be on the next plane to London to seek comfort and advice from Samuel Hextall. You remember – her BBF (British Best Friend)…
